Located at Pedraforca's feet, 4 km from Saldes, Hotel Ca l'Andreu has one of the most privileged locations in the valley. Its direct view of the mountain makes each awakening unique and each sunset magical in itself. Surrounded by Obaga lush forests, nature is present at all times and invites us to enjoy it at any time of the year. From summer walks around the hotel, such as climbing Tossal or walking to Coll de la Trapa, to wandering throung Palomera in search of mushrooms during autumn. Marvelous winters also provide us with snow to play with children or look out the window with a hot cup of coffee near the fireplace.

 

Alt Berguedà is the gateway to the Pyrenees and its mountains awaken the senses and connect us with the purity of nature. The Cadí-Moixeró range offers many options for hikers who are looking for easy and beautiful summits. From the highest points you can glimpse the first French peaks, such as Carlilt or Perics, but at the same time you can enjoy the view of our most appreciated mountains such as Montserrat or Montseny. To the west we have Sierra de Ensija, with Gallina Pelada as the most emblematic peak. Undoubtedly, the great culmination of the valley is Pedraforca, also known as the enforcada mountain or the magic mountain. Pedraforca has been part of the hiking history of this country and for years many climbers have sought its ascent either on foot, with crampons, skis or ropes. It is an exciting adventure. Even so, we must never forget to look for the route that best suits our abilities, go well equipped and check the weather forecasts.

The immensity and peculiar shape of this calcareous rock has been the source of many legends of witches and spells and has inspired countless stories of writers and artists who have known it. This privileged location makes us feel a great commitment to harmony and integration with the environment that surrounds us. It is for this reason that the Hotel Ca l'Andreu is a member establishment of the Valls del Pedraforca Association, which brings together the different establishments and artisans of the valley, helping to keep the traditions of the area alive and promoting responsible and respectful tourism.
